Spam Email: Spam is not Free Speech

News for spammers: Your First Amendment Right to Free Speech does not include spamming everybody.

In a close decision, the Virginia Supreme Court upheld the nation's first felony spam conviction against Jeremy Jaynes of Raleigh, NC after he was busted on sending 53,000 emails via the America Online servers in that state over a three day period.

It is believed that he made $750,000 per month in July and August 2003 after sending more than 10 million messages. When he was active, he was considered the eighth most prolific spammer in the world, according to Spamhaus.

Microsoft: Microsoft Server 2008 Releases

Microsoft released Microsoft Server 2008 to manufacturers last week and starts their three months of Launch Events this week in Los Angeles.
